Our Mission & Vision

The mission of Edisto Fork United Methodist Church is to love God, to love others, and to magnify the name of Jesus Christ. The vision of our church is to glorify our God and Savior, Jesus Christ, to make true disciples, to edify believers, and to do all that is sovereignly possible and biblically permissible to magnify the name of Jesus.

Leadership Team:

Our leadership team recognizes the authority of God, and realizes that we are instruments for the Master’s use. We devote ourselves to prayer and to the ministry of the Word.                                                         Reverend Ellis White, Jr., Senior Pastor

Reverend Ellis White, Jr., is a native of Lynchburg, South Carolina and was educated in the public schools of Sumter County. Reverend White graduated from the University of South Carolina where he received a BA degree in Political Science. He received a Master’s of Divinity from Erskine Theological Seminary in Due West, South Carolina. Reverend White is an Ordain Elder in the South Carolina Conference of the United Methodist Church. He has served as pastor of Bluff Road United Methodist Church in Columbia, South Carolina for sixteen years. He served as pastor of Camden First United Methodist Church in Camden, South Carolina for seven years. He is currently the pastor of Edisto Fork United Methodist Church in Orangeburg, South Carolina.
 
Reverend White is married to Vanetta Woolfolk White, Nursing Director at Palmetto Health Baptist, and they are the proud parents of two children, Creighton Ellis White and Carmen Renee White and a daughter-in-law, Mia Chantel White, and a grandson Landon Kai White.

 

 

 Maurice Middleton, Minister of Music

The Bible has a lot to say about music, and Maurice’s role is to lead the church’s worship of God in a way that matches the character of God. Maurice is an accomplished musician, who has ministered with numerous worship bands across the country. He also serves as the Director of Communication for the church.
